Clay Arts, Utah is dedicated to the education and advancement of the clay arts. Our membership ranges from professional potters to students as well as non-artists interested in the arts. Clay Arts, Utah events are designed to display the broad range of work possible with clay; introduce the art of pottery to the public in both a classroom and gallery setting; and to provide information and experience for Clay Artists.

MISSION STATEMENT
The specific and primary purpose is Educational. In furtherance of the foregoing purposes, the corporation shall:
Promote research and study, to exchange ideas, artistic critique from peers, to develop effective educational serices through workshops, juried exhibitions, and other programs for the cultural enrichment of the members and the community, to foster national and international ceramic arts, and
To bring about cooperation among all artists and individuals interested in conserving and developing the clay arts of the State of Utah, and to encourage a wider appreciation of these arts, and
To raise and maintain standards of design and craftsmanship and encourage individual expression, and
To study the costs of production, competition and marketing and other problems concerning clay art through networking, and
To educate the public and bring awareness of the clay arts to the people of the state of Utah and educate the public outside the state of work accomplished within Utah.
The Clay Arts, Utah shall take every opportunity to cultivate and improve ceramic arts in Utah through media, newspapers, magazines, and other means of communication.
