Cindy Diaz has been a clay artist since high school. She began her high school teaching career as an English teacher, and then had the opportunity to move into the arts. She has been teaching high school ceramics and sculpture for 20 years, and she loves it. Cindy is currently serving on the Board of Trustees for Clay Arts, Utah. She enjoys all facets of clay including wheel and hand building, but her favorite work is sculpture. Creating work that stems from ideas, concepts, and experiences from everyday life is the most exciting aspect of her experience as an artist. “Whatever is going on in my life shows up in my work, so every piece has meaning to me and a story behind it.”
